<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which registers new registration data by deleting old registration data until a free space enough to register the new registration data is secured if a registration data storage area is pressed by the former old registration data and there is no free space to store the new registration data when the registration data such as macros is to be registered in the printer, and to notify the deletion of the registration data by an electronic mail to the user who registered the deleted old registration data. <P>SOLUTION: The printer comprises a job analysis means for analyzing PDL data in a print job when the print job accompanying the registration of the registration data is sent from a host computer (hereinforth called a host) on a network, a registration data storage means for storing registration data in the print job, a registration sequence storage means for storing a registration sequence of each registration data registered in the registration data storage means, and a means for storing and registering an electronic mail address of a registrant of each registration data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
