<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image forming apparatus which is suitable for a user's request or purpose of use by having the user recognize the degree of misalignment. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 10 forming an image on paper 400 by forming an image indicated by an image data on a photoreceptor 40 and having the image on the photoreceptor 40 transferred to the paper 400 by a transfer means 42, a misalignment degree detecting means 104 detecting the degree of misalignment between an ideal position on the paper 400 to which the image formed on the photoreceptor 40 should be transferred and the actual transfer position on the paper where the image is transferred, a misalignment decision means 106 deciding no misalignment when the degree of the misalignment detected by the misalignment degree detecting means 104 is smaller than a misalignment detection threshold value which is predetermined and a misalignment information outputting means 122 outputting the degree of the misalignment when no misalignment is decided by the misalignment judging means 106 are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
