<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for lithography which enables direct printing without any processing after exposure and which has excellent on-machine developability, further improved resistance to stain in printing, good firmness of minute dots and thin lines and a high plate wear. <P>SOLUTION: The original plate for lithography has a hydrophilic layer and an image forming layer in this sequence on a water-resistant substrate. The hydrophilic layer contains at least one kind filler of a specific shape selected from the group consisting of an acicular filler and a porous filler, and a hydrophilic binder polymer, while the image forming layer contains a hydrophobic particulate polymer and a photothermal conversion substance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
