PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height detecting device for obtaining an accurate detecting result by detecting a height change in a car body of a concrete pavement machine in a proper position. SOLUTION: This height detecting device detects the height change in the car body of the concrete pavement machine for laying-leveling a concrete material inside a form 1 arranged on the side edge of a pavement width area W. A support part 15 projecting by the prescribed length to the outside is arranged in the form 1. A wire rod 16 is supported by and extended to this support part, and the height change in the car body of the concrete pavement machine is detected by a height detecting sensor 2 with this extended wire rod as a reference. Thus, a height variation in the car body can be detected in the proper position so that the accurate detecting result can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
