PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch mechanism for controller, which can carry out the rotation detection by the rotation of a wheel, can turn on/off a tact switch by the tilt of the wheel, and can increase the operations of the wheel by rotating and tilting the wheel. SOLUTION: A long shaft 6 is laid on springs 4 and 5 arranged in opening grooves 2a and 3a of holding plates 2 and 3 disposed in a controller operating portion and erected on a substrate toward a telephone main body opening part, between the opening grooves 2a and 3a. A wheel 7 having a small through hole 7a formed thereon in a circumferential direction is attached to the long shaft 6. A bifurcate arm part 8 is attached to the wheel 7 on the long shaft 6. A horizontal plate 9 of the bifurcate arm part 8 is disposed on a hilly protruding part 10 on the substrate. Tact switches 11 and 12 turned on/off by tilting the bifurcate arm part 8 and the horizontal plate 9 at a tilt of the long shaft 6 are disposed on inclined planes 10a and 10b of the hilly protruding part 10. A photodetector 13 which detects the rotational action and direction of the wheel 7 is attached to the bifurcate arm part 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
