PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image by which stable photographic performance can always be obtained even when ultrafast processing is carried out, and to provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material to be used for the method, in particular, a silver halide color photographic sensitive material suitable for color print. SOLUTION: The method for forming an image is carried out by exposing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material in the form of an image and then developing colors. At least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers contains a silver halide emulsion containing at least one kind of metal complex expressed by general formula (1) and/or at least one kind of metal complex expressed by general formula (1) and having≥90 mol% silver chloride content. The color developing is started within 9 seconds after imagewise exposure of the silver halide photographic sensitive material, and the development is carried out within 28 seconds.
