PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission simple in structure and capable of lengthening a service life by moderating starting torque generated at the initial start and easily shutting off from a drive source when abnormal torque is generated. SOLUTION: This power transmission comprises a pulley connected to the drive source and supplied with rotational force; at least one damper installed on the pulley; a hub for connecting the pulley to a compressor; and a cover plate provided with a fixed plate connected to the upper face of the hub, and a plurality of deformation members independently installed on the outer peripheral surface of the fixed plate. Power transmission from the drive source is interrupted by releasing the connected relation to the damper by the deformation of the deformation members when the compressor is overloaded.
