PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and a device of a weld zone of a CRT stub tube in a boiling water reactor. SOLUTION: This inspection method of the weld zone 21 of the CRT stub tube 23 welded on a lower end plate 5 inner face in the boiling water reactor 1 comprises each process of a process for arranging a ring rail 41 enclosing a CRD housing 15 penetrated by the CRT stub tube 23 on the lower side of the lower end plate 5, a process for moving along the ring rail 41 a sensor 49 for detecting a crack generated on the weld zone 21 of the CRT stub tube 23 and moving the sensor 49 vertically along the under surface of the lower mirror 5, and a process for detecting the crack generated on the weld zone 21 of the CRT stub tube 23 by the sensor when moving the sensor 49 along the under surface of the lower end plate 5.
