PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a spray pattern for restraining the deterioration in combustibility when fuel sticks to a cylinder wall surface in a lift small area of intake valves. SOLUTION: This engine is provided with the two intake valves 105 and two exhaust valves 107 in respective cylinders. A fuel injection valve 131 being a two-way valve is arranged in an intake port 130 for injecting the fuel toward the respective intake valves 105. The spray pattern of the fuel injection valve 131 striking on a shade part back face of the respective intake valves 105 is deviatively set on the exhaust valve 107 side so that the shade part outer periphery and the spray pattern have a common tangent at a point closest to the exhaust valves 107 and 107, and avoids fuel spray striking on the side close to a cylinder wall of a shade part.
