Epicyclic gearing for the operation of eyelid flaps in thrust reversers for aircraft propulsion jet engines comprises a driving planet-carrier 4, stepped planets 7, 8, 9 meshing respectively an annulus 12, coupled by a sleeve 19 to one eyelid flap, a fixed annulus 11, and an annulus 13 coupled by a sleeve 20 with the other eyelid flap. The planet-carrier 4 is driven through reduction gearing 3 by an air motor 2. The arrangement is such that the sleeves 19, 20 are driven at substantially the same speeds in opposite directions. |
