PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation dial device suppressing an apparatus projecting from an operation surface while holding the operability of an operation dial and to provide an electronic control device using the same. SOLUTION: This operation dial device is provided with an operation panel 1 of an electronic apparatus, a slope surface 1a formed on the operation panel 1, an opening part 1b formed in the slope surface 1a, and the operation dial 5 provided inside the operation panel 1 and disposed with its corner part exposed from the opening part 1b. The operation dial 5 is cylindrical and fixed to the rotary shaft 4a of a volume element 4. The center of the operation dial 5 comprises a button 7 changing over a switching device 6 for muting.
