PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield type deep groove ball bearing that can prevent external outflow of grease on a bearing raceway surface and is easily machined. SOLUTION: The shield type deep groove ball bearing 10 comprises a plurality of balls 17 disposed between an inner ring 11 and an outer ring 15 in a held state by a cage 16, and a shield plate 20 of which tip 21 is folded to face to the groove shoulder 12 of the inner ring 11.
