PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index device of fluid pressure drive capable of easily controlling each operation of rotation, positioning, and position holding of a table with a single solenoid valve, and positioning and holding the table regardless of a constitution of an oscillating mechanism for rotating the table. SOLUTION: A clutch cylinder mechanism 21 for holding the position of a table unit 2 has a switching mechanism. The switching mechanism switchably supplies fluid supplied to the clutch cylinder mechanism 21 to the projection side or the return side of a stopper cylinder mechanism 17 used for stopping the table unit 2 with respect to a driving position of a holding piston 25 of the cylinder mechanism 21, and switches the driving direction of a stopper piston 20 to the inverse direction of the holding piston 25.
