PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method by which piling works can be executed without auxiliary works in such an unusual ground as swampland, river, lake and marsh where hitherto, auxiliary works such as reclamation works, erection of scaffolds have been required for piling work, or unordinary ground of a sloped ground such as mountainous ground/cliff, etc. and also provide a piling device used therefor. SOLUTION: In a piling method into an unusual ground such as a soft ground like swampland, bottom ground of river, lake or marsh, etc. or an inclined ground like mountainous land, or cliff, a sill provided with a detachable anchorage section is anchored on the upper side of an existing pile, then, after a plurality of piles are driven into a plurality of positions of the periphery of the existing pile by a piling machine fixed at the front end of a movable arm rotatably pivoted on the sill, the sill is removed from the existing pile and transferred aerially to a new pile and further, a plurality of piles are driven in a plurality of peripheral positions of the pile whose sill has been moved.
