PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily openable stay-on tab type can lid whose tab holding part is easily erected, and whose score line is effectively broken by transferring leverage by a tab effectively to a required part. SOLUTION: A recess 21 is formed in the opening piece 12 area including the neighborhood underneath the push down end 6b of a tab 6. A protrusion 22 having an inclining side face 22a is formed protruding upward from the bottom face of the recess 21 of the opening piece 12 so as the face 22a of the protrusion 22 is positioned with a predetermined interval beneath the push down end 6b of the tab 6. When the holding part 6a of the tab 6 is pulled up and the push down end 6b is pushed down, the push down end 6b of the tab 6 contacts the face 22a of the protrusion 22 beneath the top end edge of the recess 21 of the piece 12.
