PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method or a device for applying high energy locally to an object with a liquid present at least partly in the periphery of the object by irradiating ultrasonic waves to the object. SOLUTION: The method for ultrasonic irradiation is the method for applying high energy locally to the object with a liquid present at least partly in the periphery of the object by irradiating ultrasonic waves to the object. In the first process, the object is irradiated with the high-frequency ultrasonic waves to generate and grow bubbles or a bubble group in a limited area of the liquid present at least partly in the periphery of the object. In the second process after the first process, the object is irradiated with the low-frequency ultrasonic waves to apply high energy locally to the object by resonating and breaking the bubbles or the bubble group generated and grown in the liquid present at least locally in the periphery of the object.
