PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with a standing up assisting mechanism for facilitating standing up movement from a seated posture by displacing a seated part to a forward tilting position, whereby the next user can easily take a seat still inclined to the forward tilting position, and then the seated part located in the forward tilting position is moved to a home position to take his/her seated posture without extra trouble and labor of the user. SOLUTION: This chair includes: a body frame; the seated part supported on the body frame to be rocked and displaced at least between the home position where the user is seated and the forward tilting position where the rear end is displaced upward from the home position to assist the user's standing-up; an actuator for rocking and displacing the seated part; and a position determination part for determining whether the seated part is located in the home position or the forward tilting position. The chair further includes a drive control means for returning and moving the seated part to the home position when the position determination part determines to be the forward tilting position at the time of power-on.
