A laser generator (10) for attachment to a hand-operated power tool (32). The laser generator (10) includes a housing assembly (12), including an aperture (14), and laser means provided within the housing assembly (12). In use, the laser means emits a laser beam (26), the laser beam (26) passing through the aperture (14) in the housing assembly (12) and projecting a laser guide (28) onto a workpiece (30) thereby assisting in guidance of the hand-operated power tool (32). The invention also provides a hand-operated power tool (132), including a tool body (136), the body (136) having a front end (131); a cutting blade (134), located at the underside of the front end; and the laser generator (110). |
