Casting device comprises a mold heating system (1) having a heater (11) and a passage (10) in its upper wall (14) for filling a casting mold (3) arranged on a cooling plate (2). The cooling plate is arranged on a free end of a height-adjustable rod (5). The heating system has different controllable height regions with respect to its heating performance/temperature. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a cast part using the above casting device.
