<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of quickly changing specifications such as waste gas discharging configuration, hot-water supply performance and the like. <P>SOLUTION: This heat exchanger comprises a primary heat exchanger for recovering the sensible heat mainly from the combustion exhaust gas 4, and a secondary heat exchanger for recovering the latent heat mainly from the combustion exhaust gas 4.
