<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for displaying a color stereoscopic image free of a decrease in picture quality due to a chromatic aberration, in a stereoscopic display system which uses a spatial image to reduce a contradiction between a both-eye convergence angle and focus adjustment of the eyes that a conventional display has. <P>SOLUTION: The device is equipped with an image display surface, a convex lens optical system which forms a real image on the image display surface in space, and a mechanism for distributing different images toward the right eye and left eye, and draws red components of pixels of images incident on respective viewpoints at intersections of an optical path of red light including a segment connecting the position of the pixel in the three-dimensional space to be presented and the viewpoint positions and the image display surface, green components of pixels at intersections of an optical path of green light including a segment connecting the position of the pixel in the three-dimensional space to be presented and the viewpoint positions and the image display surface, and blue components of pixels at intersections of an optical path of blue light including a segment connecting the position of the pixel in the three-dimensional space to be presented and the viewpoint positions and the image display surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
