<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium which shows outstanding recording sensitivity and quality of a recording image. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording medium having an undercoat layer composed mainly of a pigment and an adhesive and a heat-sensitive recording layer containing an electron-donative compound, an electron-receptive compound and an adhesive, sequentially formed on at least one side of a support, a mixture of fired kaolin and kaolin with a weight ratio of 100:5 to 100 is used as a pigment contained in the undercoat layer and the undercoat layer is obtained by a cast coating process, in solving the described problem as one of the means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
