<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible recording medium made of an infrared absorbing coloring matter-containing material, the function of which does not lower even under the condition being exposed to an ultraviolet light during use, having enough longer period capable of being used as a card or a label and being able to stand a long-term outdoor use. <P>SOLUTION: The reversible recording medium consists of a laminate, which can transmit a visible light, in which an ultraviolet- and infrared-absorbing layer for absorbing an ultraviolet light and an infrared light, and which comprise a recording layer 2 that is able to display and erase a visible image by reversibly changing a transparency and a color developability by means of temperature and, at the same time, a light-absorbing layer 3 put on the recording layer 2 and made of a resin having an ultraviolet absorbing molecular structure as a base material and containing an infrared absorbing coloring matter under the condition that the medium has an enough printing sensitivity at the printing and erasion with a semiconductor laser and, at the same time, has a weatherability fully standing outdoor use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
