METHOD FOR PRODUCING DEVELOPER SUPPORT, DEVELOPER SUPPORT AND DEVELOPING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a developer support which prevents the charge-up phenomenon of a toner and blotching and can impart good developing performance to the developer in any environment over a prolonged period of time. SOLUTION: A developer support has a resin coating layer on the surface of a cylindrical or columnar substrate used in a developing apparatus for visualizing a latent image formed on a latent image support by development with a developer carried and supported on the surface of a developer support The method for producing the developer support includes at least: (1) a step for forming, on a substrate, a coating layer consisting of a resin composition containing at least a bonding resin, a solid lubricant and/or a conductive fine powder and particles for making a resin layer rugged; and (2) a step for grinding the surface of the resin coating layer by bringing a member in which part or all of abrasive grains are movably held on at least a face of a substrate coming in contact with a developer support into contact with the surface of the resin coating layer and relatively moving the member and the developer support.
