PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current type reduction gear reduced in parts count and improved in an assembling workability. SOLUTION: The eddy current type reduction gear comprises a brake drum 3 coupled to a rotary shaft 1, and an annular electromagnet body 6 connected to the fixing side of the brake drum 3 at its inside. The annular electromagnet body 6 is formed by annularly coupling a plurality of electromagnets 7, the electromagnet 7 comprises an iron core 10 and an electromagnetic coil 11, the iron core 10 comprises a core 13 that is formed so as to be substantially along the brake drum 3 in the circumferential direction at its center, and the electromagnetic coil 11 wound in a coil state in advance is fitted in the external periphery of the core 13 from the other end side of the core 13.
