PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opener/closer and mobile telephone equipment provided with the same in which an operating force when expanding a casing is reduced simultaneously while attaining miniaturization. SOLUTION: The opener/closer for expanding the casing is provided with: a base 43 fixed within an approximately hollow cylindrical rotator 41; a fixed holder 52 whose movement is allowed only in the direction of an inner peripheral surface of the rotator 41; a driving cam part 3A having a fixed cam member 51 and a first compression spring 31; a second cam part 3B having a lift cam member 53 coupled to the fixed holder 52, a slide cam member 44 which is engaged with the base 43 and capable of axially sliding, and a second compression spring 32 elastically provided between the slide cam member 44 and the base 43; and a clutch part 3C having a ball 55 for locking a rotary cam member 42 and a cam shaft 54 which has a cam groove 54A engaged with the ball 55 and axially slides integrally with the slide cam member 44.
