摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image hardly causing sticking defect and flickering and excellent in display quality in a Cs on gate type AM (active matrix) liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A compensation signal Vgc which contains a first signal region 101 oscillating with an amplitude to be a standard, a second signal region 102 oscillating with an amplitude larger than that in the first signal region 101 and a third signal region 103 with a potential lower than that in the first signal region 101 distributed in an order of the third signal region 103 immediately after a scanning zone A, successively the second signal region 102 and then the first signal region 101 is supplied in a zone B except for the scanning zone A. Thereby an influence of a through voltage generated in the voltage applied to the liquid crystal at the time of writing in a picture signal is compensated by the difference in potential between the second signal region 102 and the third signal region 103.
