摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which avoids effects by specific components coexisting in a sample thereby accurately quantifying a reducible substance in a process in which the reducible substance in the sample is quantified by carrying out a detecting method using a specific metal indicative reagent of iron ion indicating divalent iron ions formed by interacting trivalent iron ions with the reducible substance or indicating residual trivalent iron ions, and to provide the reagent for the quantifying method. SOLUTION: In the method in which the reducible substance in the sample is quantified by carrying out the detecting method using the specific metal indicative reagent of iron ion indicating the divalent iron ions formed by interacting the trivalent ions with the reducible substance or indicating the residual trivalent iron ions, a cooper chelate agent is used so as to coexist therein, and furthermore, aluminum salt and/or gallium salt are preferably used so, or organic acids are used so more preferably.
