PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame detecting device which can facilitate a replacing work of a UV tube or a maintenance of a shutter mechanism and which can effectively eliminate a thermal problem of the UV tube with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A photodetecting unit (10) which contains a photodetector (1) in a light shielding first case (3) having a photodetecting window (3a) and a shutter unit (40) for housing a shutter blade (41) in light shielding second cases (35, 43) having a second window (31) and assembling a drive means (42) of the shutter blade in this second case are detachably coupled by bringing the first window into coincidence with a position of the second window.
