PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new crystal form of cefdinir which has a higher stability and lower solubility than those of cefdinyl of a publicly known crystal form. SOLUTION: This new crystal form of cefdinir exhibiting a specific X-ray diffraction spectrum is obtained by adding at least 1 kind of an organic solvent to an aqueous cefdinir solution up to 10 vol/vol %, cooling the solution to a temperature between 0°C-(+)6°C, decreasing pH until between 1.5-3 for precipitating the crystal and isolating the same by a publicly known technique.
