PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the inexpediency that the ring pieces of a binder suddenly close when moved to a position for fixing them and erroneously open by an external force, while arranging so that the ring pieces are stably fixed at a closing position. SOLUTION: This ring binder 1 is equipped with a base 2 and at least a pair of the ring pieces 3a and 3b, and at least the base end parts of the ring pieces 3a and 3b on at least one side, are installed, in a rotatable/movable manner, on the base 2 between the closing position S shown by a solid line and an opening position O by an imaginary line . Further, ramming parts 4a and 4b which are preferentially rammed against the base 2 are extended from the ring pieces 3a and 3b and the ring pieces 3a and 3b are moved upto the closing position S beyond a supporting saddle point T which is a point where the ramming parts 4a and 4b are rammed against the base 2 so as to impart an elastic force. The ring pieces 3a and 3b which are paired so as not to release the accumulated elastic force, are engaged with each other at the closing position S. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
