PURPOSE: An apparatus for receiving video is provided to reduce a use amount of an external memory of a scaler IC while reducing the size of a line memory required for a scaling operation. CONSTITUTION: A segment control unit(10) decides coordinates of an input video required by a scaler(40) and the number of pixels to be read. An interrupt generator(20) sets up the coordinates of the input video required by the scaler and the number of pixels to be read at a register for generating interrupt. An input data selector(30) selects the input data of the scaler from an external memory of a scaler IC or a CPU(Central Processing Unit) according to a value of a data bus selector signal. The scaler executes an scaling operation by using the input data.
