TONER AND TWO-COMPONENT DEVELOPER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to decrease waste carriers since toners have excellent durability, to improve electrostatic charge characteristics as well and to prevent the occurrence of staining and toner scattering.

SOLUTION: The toners used for an electrophotographic device provided with at least developing units hold additives of inorganic or organic materials containing Si in the surface, and are prepared as the two-component developer by mixing carriers with the toners. The difference between the position of the peak of the Si element detected by the measurement of the toner surfaces by photoelectron spectroscopy when the developer is rotated for one minute by a Turbula mixer and the position of the peak of the Si element detected by the measurement of the toner surfaces by the photoelectron spectroscopy when the developer is rotated for 30 minutes is regulated below 0.8eV.
