<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a crystal sheet in which the dipping time of a substrate in a fused liquid is decreased to prevent SiC from being produced on the growing surface, the size of the crucible holding the fused liquid is made equal to or smaller than the size of the substrate face, and the heating energy to keep the fused state of the liquid can be reduced, and to provide a method for manufacturing the sheet, and a solar cell obtained by using the above apparatus and the method. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a crucible to fuse the semiconductor material, a base body having a substrate where the fused liquid of the semiconductor is crystallized and grown on the substrate surface, a rotation holder attached above the crucible leaving a space to fix the base body, and a rotation shaft attached to the lower face of the rotation holder. The rotation shaft is almost perpendicular to the largest face of the substrate and almost parallel to the surface of the fused liquid. By rotating the shaft, the substrate is dipped in the liquid and drawn up from the liquid while the largest face of the substrate is kept almost perpendicular to the surface of the fused liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
