<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce capacity of a cache memory in developing display images to the cache memory and to shorten transfer time. <P>SOLUTION: The controller is provided with an animation scenario data ROM 11, a character data ROM 12, the cache memory 15, a screen buffer 16, a control means 10 which reads image data from the character data on the basis of the animation scenario data of the animation scenario data ROM 11, and a video processor 14 which reads the image data out of the character data ROM 12 through the control means 10, stores the decoded images by developing the images to the cache memory 15 through the control means 10, and subjects the images to compression processing if there is a transparent region segment, and which transfers the decoded images stored in the cache memory 15 to the screen buffer 16 through the control means 10 and subjects the decoded images to the development processing if there is the transparent region portion subjected to the compression processing at this time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
