<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost gas insulated switchgear, excellent in reliability and safety, wherein pressure differences between adjacent gas sections are monitored, and the pressure differences are varied stepwise, thereby possibly operating the gas insulated switchgear as it is without varying the mechanical strength of a supporting insulator. <P>SOLUTION: Pressure monitoring devices 4 are installed for externally monitoring differences in the pressure of insulating gas between adjacent gas sections 10. The pressure monitoring devices 4 are connected with the individual gas sections 10 through gas piping 5. The pressure monitoring devices 4 are provided with an alarming function of, if pressure exceeds a predetermined value, alarming the anomaly by a sound, light, or the like, and a gas discriminating function of monitoring pressure differences on every gas type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
