<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce clear characters by digital processing of optically recognized characters and printing on a plate. <P>SOLUTION: The following steps are carried out: a read step in which a book unloosed to the sheets, block copies output to photographic paper or printed-out block copies as originals are read page by page with an optical character reader 1 and converted to digital data; a data storage step in which postscript data including the image data obtained using the reader 1 as a source are recorded in a memory 3; an imposition step in which imposition is performed so that the postscript data are collated with each page as folding unit of bookbinding; a press plate step in which the postscript data after the imposition are printed on plates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
