PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress band-like blurring in a print image by reducing strength (smoothness) of low-pass filtering to be applied to the print image in comparison with a display original. SOLUTION: In an output scheme judging part 6, contents (display or print) designated by a user are judged. When display is designated, an RGB image which is inversely transformed in the color space is inputted to a tile boundary smoothing part 7 and when print is designated, the RGB image is inputted to a tile boundary smoothing part 8. In the tile boundary smoothing part 8 for display, low-pass filtering of enhanced smoothness in comparison with the tile boundary smoothing part 8 for print is loaded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
