PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture storage method whereby a function such as the searching of a moving picture can be utilized in a comparatively short period of dubbing time without the need for troublesome apparatus operations by a user, and to provide a moving picture storage apparatus. SOLUTION: First attachment information is dubbed from all files at a reproduction side (S601). The first attachment information is attachment information in a form of an independent file, or attachment information attached to the head or end of a moving picture file. Then second attachment information of undubbed parts is dubbed (S602). The second attachment information indicates the attachment information of a TS packet having an identifier as the attachment information among TS packets configuring the moving picture file and other than the first attachment information. Then moving picture data are dubbed (S603).
