PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bearing low pressure slider provided with an air bearing surface for lowering and fixing the flying height when there is an air flow changing in its direction. SOLUTION: The low pressure area of the slider 10 is divided so that a 1st area 19 has previously determined depth and a 2nd area 20 has depth deeper than the previously determined depth. For example, the 1st area 19 is extended from the front part 15 of the slider 10 between a plurality of rails 12, 14 and the 2nd area is arranged on the outside rear quadrant part of the slider 10.
