PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement detection system and a transport plate wherein the number of components is reduced, miniaturization is realized and production cost is reduced. SOLUTION: The movement detection system 2 of the transport plate is equipped with a light generating part 4 and a light receiving part 11. According to control of a control part 12, a mirror 8 is moved at a desired speed, in a direction of an arrow mark D. When an output signal detected by a light receiving part 11 becomes constant, a rate of travel of the mirror 8 is decided to be a rate of travel of a sheet P. The movement detection system 2 can detect the rate of travel of the sheet P, even if the number of units for detection which contain the light generating part 4 and the light receiving part 11 is one. As a result, the movement detection system and the transport plate wherein the number of components is reduced, miniaturization is realized, and production cost is reduced can be provided.
