PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-scale rotor for a steam turbine having a main steam temperature ranging from 675°C to 700°C. SOLUTION: The rotor is divided into a plurality of parts in the axial direction, which are each formed of a proper material and metallurgically or mechanically connected together into one rotor unit. It has a portion whose metal temperature becomes 675°C containing Al, Ti, Nb, Mo, Cr and Fe and the remainder containing Ni and impurities, wherein the contents of Al, Ti, Nb and Mo have a raltionship of 1.33×(Al wt%+Ti wt%)+8<(Nb wt%+Mo wt%)<1.33×(Al wt%+Ti wt%)+12. It is formed of a Ni base alloy consisting of Fe having a content of 30 wt% or less and Cr having a content of 10-24 wt%. The rotor can be manufactured using the Ni base alloy having high strength at a high temperature. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
