PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a strike and a movable core, associated with a locking piece, to be multidirectionally retreated to a rear void part or upper and lower void parts in a strike box in such a manner as to adapt to the shock of an earthquake on the occurrence of the earthquake. SOLUTION: This fitting is composed of the strike box 2 for being fixed to a door frame 1 in a fitted state, the frame-shaped movable core 3 for being fitted into the box 2 in the state of being loosely fitted at least between an inner wall surface and upper and lower opposed inner walls in the back of the box 2, and the cover-shaped strike 4 for being mounted in the state of abutting on a front wall 10a of the door frame 1 via the core 3 so as to cover the front side of the box 2 and that of the core 3. Paired right and left notches 20 and 20 for an escape of a holding pin 21 are formed in right and left side walls 15c and 15c of the box 2; and the holding pins 21 are passed through the notches 20 and 20 and through-holes 28 which are formed in right and left side walls 3c and 3c of the core 3, in the state of engaging with reference edges 20a of the notches 20 and 20. On the occurrence of the earthquake, when an external great impact force is exerted on the strike 4 and the core 3, the strike 4 and the core 3 are multidirectionally retreated to the rear void part 45 or the upper and lower void parts 46 in the box 2.
