PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which produces satisfactory coating efficiency in the coating of transmission steel tower members, suppresses the variation in coated film thickness distribution, allows a small gap to be easily coated and prevents both hands from being full on the coating operation. SOLUTION: The coating of the transmission steel tower members is performed as an air assist airless electrostatic coating and the surroundings of transmission steel tower is surrounded by a grounded conductive shielding net.
