PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and suitably position a bearing/control arm sub-assembly during re-operation, especially an artificial auxiliary joint having a structure of limiting forward movement of the bearing to the control arm. SOLUTION: A knee prosthesis 100 includes a femoral constitution member 200, a tibial constitution member 500, a bearing 300 and a control arm. The bearing 300 makes an articular bearing engagement with the femoral constitution member 200 and makes a sliding and rotational bearing engagement with the tibial constitution member 500. Movement of the bearing relative to the tibial constitution member 500 is controlled by the control arm. At the anterior terminal of the control arm, a removable stop for limiting anterior movement of the bearing 300 relative to the tibial constitution member 500 is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
