PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ADSL terminal capable of improving the connectability and the access speed under a noisy environment. SOLUTION: A reception analog / digital converter section 15 receives a signal received by the ADSL terminal 1 via a transformer 11, a reception section driver 12 and a relay 13. A filter 14 is inserted to a signal path until phase synchronization is established and the received signal to be processed is given to the reception analog / digital converter section 15 through the filter 14. A high frequency noise is reduced from the signal received by the reception analog / digital converter section 15 through the filter 14. A control section 16 processes the signal converted into a digital signal by the reception analog / digital converter section 15 and a phase synchronization circuit establishes the phase synchronization. After the phase synchronization is established, the filter 14 is removed from the signal path under the control of the relay 13 controlled by the control section 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
