PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method capable of accurately identifying a color marker even when the color marker is interrupted by a black image. SOLUTION: A marker expansion unit 73 expands a marker signal detected by a maker extraction unit 72 as a marker so as to obtain 3×5 marker signals a to o. When at least one of the marker signals a to o detects a marker, all marker signals are determined as marker signals. Thereby, the marker signal expands to 5×5. Subsequently, a marker selection unit 74 selects the marker signal expanded by the marker expansion unit 73 when a black interruption on/off mode is turned on, and selects the marker signal detected by the marker extraction unit 72 when the black interruption on/off mode is turned off.
