PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the acceptance inspection of spinnerets and to quantify abrasion of a discharge opening with time. SOLUTION: The method for controlling a spinneret comprises preparing design original image data related to flow channel crosssectional shape of the discharge opening, made into electronic information on the basis of design data of the discharge opening bored through the spinneret for discharging a polymer in a fiber state, collecting projected light image data obtained by photographing transmitted lights which are emitted from a polymer inlet side and transmitted through the discharge opening to a polymer discharge side, collecting surface light image data obtained by photographing surface radiation light or surface reflected light from the polymer discharge surface of the spinneret, applying image processing to these image data and controlling the flow channel shape change of the discharge opening bored through the spinneret from the obtained image data.
