PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment which can perform the high-speed disinfection of sewage containing pathogenic bacteria, such as Eschelichia colli, and makes the high-speed disinfection possible and therefore permits the utilization of a natural discharge and pumping station having no space to instal the equipment capable of assuring long-time stagnation by intimately mixing the sewage under rainy weather and a chlorine-based disinfectant. SOLUTION: The equipment is provided with a disinfectant adding means 12 for adding the disinfectant to the sewage and an ultrasonic irradiation means 13 for irradiating the sewage with ultrasonic waves. The equipment is formed by providing at least either of the pumping station 5 and natural discharge 4 in a sewer treatment facility with the means 12 and the means 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
