PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile X-ray apparatus in which an amount of lifting of an X-ray section is more lengthened and which has good operability, and is further reduced in size and weight. SOLUTION: This mobile X-ray apparatus includes a balance section 4 provided in a strut for movably supporting the X-ray section for irradiating a subject with an X ray. The section 4 includes a large-diameter block 6 rotating so as to wind or feed a first wire 20 with the X-ray section lifting, a wheel shaft 5 having a small-diameter block 7 disposed coaxially with the block 6, an elastic material expanded or contracted with the X-ray section lifting and supporting the weight of the X-ray section by an energizing force in the case of expanding and contracting, and a conical block 8 rotating with the rotation of the block 7 by coupling with the block 7 and a second wire 21 so that the energizing force by the elastic material is constant to transmit the force to the X-ray section.
